My name is Maike Burghoff, I am a Product Designer B.A. and I am studying Design Futures M.A. at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen since October 2023. In addition to my studies, I work as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute Umsicht and support the team of the ZidiNako project, which focuses on the energy transition. At the same time, I work as a freelancer and design graphic products such as advertising flags or sales signs for small companies. Between my master and bachelor studies I gained a lot of experience in exhibition design as a junior designer at the design studio Bernotat&Co in Wuppertal. The result of this project was the interactive children's exhibition "The Little Witch" at the Landesmuseum Württemberg.

In addition to my studies and work, I also like to live out my creativity in my private life. This includes small handicrafts such as sewing and embroidery or designing personalised gifts for friends and family. As a physical balance, I like to do sports. A certain affinity for ball sports can be seen in my current hobby of tennis and my former passion for volleyball, which I played for decades.
