Ignite the Light Lightning Design

The interactive lamp is reminiscent of the original form of human light production, fire. Like a fire drill, a wooden stick is turned between the hands and the energy is converted into light. At the beginning, a weak red light is produced, which gradually transforms into a bright warm white light as it is turned for longer. Once the stored energy has been used up, the light goes out. About half a minute of turning provides the lamp with energy for 30 minutes. In this way, energy production and consumption can be experienced directly.
The central element of the lamp is the wooden rod. In a predetermined position, it can either be used to carry the lamp or pulled out of the lampshade. Leaning against the edge of the lamp, it once again becomes part of the lighting effect. Like a new piece of wood by the campfire.

The fire drill and the campfire served as a source of inspiration for the conical shapeand the aesthetics of the object.

All materials and construction elements are connected to each other by means of with each other. This means that defective electronic components, for example, can be easily repaired or replaced, ensuring a long service life for the entire object.
