Beyond the Box is a convertible bag for bicycle mail carriers that allows them to transport their personal belongings safely and organized on their bikes to and during work. The concept consists of a backpack that can be cleverly stowed in a small box under the mailbox. This maintains a clear separation between personal and work items. Practical extras such as small pockets on the outside of the box ensure that items such as water bottles and rainwear are easily accessible without having to lift the top box. The use of post bike covers that are no longer needed serves as the ideal material to ensure the required weather resistance and stability.
